Prompt-payment software built from the law outward
Tiercord is a Vancouver-based construction compliance platform. It tracks prompt-payment deadlines, produces jurisdiction-correct documents and preserves the evidence behind each event across Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia and federal projects.
Our editorial and research method
Tiercord's public legal guides and product deadline engine share the same structured source of truth. That keeps the date shown in a guide, the section printed on a document and the clock calculated inside a project aligned. Our research team follows four rules:
Separate enacted from operative
A bill receiving Royal Assent does not necessarily make its deadlines active. Pending proclamation, regulations and working assumptions are labelled on-page.
Preserve provincial differences
Day-counts, triggers, lien windows, authorities and transition rules follow the law of each jurisdiction.
Date substantive reviews honestly
A page's review date changes when its legal research is rechecked or its substance changes, not merely because the website was redeployed.

Transition provisions, project type and the facts of a payment chain can change which rule applies. Consult a construction lawyer in the relevant province before acting on a live legal matter.
