Projects & counterparties
The foundation under every invoice
Projects are jobs. Counterparties are companies.
Every invoice, notice, and payment in Tiercord lives inside a project. Counterparties are the companies you bill (or who bill you). Set each one up once and Tiercord reuses those details on related records.
Run as many at once as you like, on any plan. Every plan has every Tiercord capability and no plan-based document or seat allowance, so nothing on this tour is withheld from you.
Province and pyramid position both matter
Two answers you give when setting things up steer the whole deadline engine:
- The project's province, which statute and which day counts apply (see Jurisdictions & deadlines).
- Your position in the pyramid, owner at the top, general contractor in the middle, sub at the bottom. This changes which deadlines fire and which notice form you'll reach for.
You can review or change a project's province in its settings, and your position is captured per contract, so the same company can be your customer on one job and your sub on another.
